BIO

Bob went into private practice in 1988. For the past 30 years, his studio in Richmond, Virginia has produced a number of noteworthy commissions.

Upon graduation from Virginia Tech in 1982, Bob began his career in Washington, D.C. - his primary influence made while with the Joseph Boggs Studio. As one of four associates under Mr. Boggs' direction he compiled a portfolio of regional and international works.  While with Boggs, Bob moved to Richmond, opening Boggs' Richmond studio.

A few years later, at age 29, Bob created his own practice, which today employs a small office of energetic architects, interns, and interior designers. They are involved in a rich diversity of work throughout the east coast.

Bob is currently registered in nine states. His work has been published locally, regionally, and nationally. In 1994, Bob received the Virginia Society AIA's Award for Distinguished Achievement, (at the time) the youngest architect to receive such a lofty accolade. In 2009, Bob was awarded the Marcellus Wright, Jr. Award, presented annually by AIA Richmond to the outstanding Architect in Central Virginia.
